In the 1960’s, my father, Jack Bond, collaborated on several projects with Ken Stanley, a friend and fellow musician. Ken was the musical director of the Pig and Whistle show that aired on CTV for ten years, starting in 1967.
One of the things my father did was to go to the local bank to pick up the payroll for the show. It was a large amount of cash, a great concern to the teller. My father told her, “Ma’am, if you would just be quiet about it, no one would even know I was carrying this much cash!”
think they used to pass as cool?
