1.  Laura Jane WILLIAMS was born on 19 Jan 1867 at 31 St Johns Road in Ryde, IOW to parents George WILLIAMS and Harriet STOREY.  . She was baptised on 7 Apr 1867 at Holy Trinity. Laura appeared in the census on 2 Apr 1871 at 31 St Johns Road in Ryde, IOW and was listed as a scholar. She was a witness at the marriage of William BOND and her sister, Jessie Harriet WILLIAMS, on 1 Oct 1879 at St Mary’s Church in Portsea, Hampshire. Laura appeared in the census on 3 Apr 1881 at 79 St. Johns Road in Ryde, IOW, again listed as a scholar. She registered the birth of her daughter, Florence Ethel WILLIAMS, on 9 Nov 1886 at 79 St. Johns Road in Ryde, IOW and her name was recorded as Lorry Williams, a book keeper domestic.  The father of Florence was unnamed. Laura last appeared in the census on 5 Apr 1891 at 75 St Johns Road in Ryde, IOW.

          2          i.   Florence Ethel WILLIAMS was born on 9 Nov 1886 at 79 St. Johns Road in Ryde, IOW. She appeared in the census on 5 Apr 1891 at 75 St Johns Road in Ryde, IOW. She last appeared in the census on 31 Mar 1901 at 75 St Johns Road in Ryde, IOW.

Laura’s last known whereabouts was when she was recorded in the 1891 census.  Her daughter, Florence Ethel, was last recorded in the 1901 census.  No further records have been found in the subsequent censuses, immigration records, marriage or burial registrations.  Any information about either of these two women would be very welcomed!
